For this project I was tasked on recreating a logo for our graphic design class. The challenge was to create a logo from one of the restaurants the school came up with or we can make up our own restaurant ourselves. I obviously chose the harder route and went with crearting my own restaurant name and logo. The name of the restaurant was going to be called "SUSHI BORIKEN" where we mix Japanese cuisine with a twist of Puerto Rican flavor to the sushi. Now how did we get here? Well fun fact Puerto Rico and a lot of other Latin American countries have a lot asian inspired foods and sushi is no exception. So to help with my process I had to sketch my logo before anything. Then I made my logo on Illustrator got it to where I felt it had that sushi vibe with a hint of latin culture. Once I got the logo finished on Illustrator I then began to animate it. Before I started animated I began with my storyboard sketching after I got my general idea through my sketches I began to animate. Click to see the final result!
